FTT Skin Clinics Update 9 April 2023

This weekend we enjoy a long weekend over the Easter Break and back to normal this Tuesday 11th! We know Bank Holiday weekends for some can be a lot of fun, sometimes too much fun.. Let us give you our tips on how to recover your skin this weekend and the effects alcohol can have on your skin post celebrations! The key ingredient to your recovery menu is to stay hydrated, not the day after but the night of. Drinking water while consuming alcohol is an important part of minimising the effects of the following day. Staying hydrated not only improves your mental capacity to not waste the next day but also helps your body flush out toxins whilst protecting your skin. Simple but effective, 1 glass of water to 1 glass of alcohol, you’re welcome! Extra care tip for you this Easter Sunday, we all know there’s some of you who will skip a cleanse after getting home. If you have a habit of doing this (don’t worry we’re all guilty) we recommend our Obagi Blue Radiance Peel or Carbon Laser to rid your skin of clogged pores and bumpy textures. Book your facial now by heading to our booking system here and keep your skin bouncing too Ching Ching!

Happy Easter Weekend Readers!

This month of April we discuss the Millennial era! Last week we wrapped up our Gen Z month of March on our socials, now moving onto the next if not most influential era at this moment. Where do we start with this era?! We’re looking at the ages between 27-42 (1981-1996), a generation who will start to notice changes with their skin, bodies and health due to lifestyle, habits and environment. Over the next month we will be discussing the best treatments and skincare for Millennial era, from expert Toxin TreatmentsCollagen Stimulator’s to upgrading your Skincare products to maximise your skin health. In the meantime let’s talk a well asked question discussed within Millennial’s, Pregnancy and Treatments. This discussion has many opinion’s, but one thing we can all agree on is Pregnancy and Aesthetic treatments should not be compromised. Firstly, Injectable treatment’s need to be put to the side. There is no medical finite answer on the two, however we must recognise the bodies physiology is changing including inflammation and immune response. This goes for most other treatments including machine based. However, not is all lost.. let’s go LED Therapy! LED light therapy is perfectly safe during pregnancy and is an amazing treatment to soothe skin sensitivity and target pregnancy triggered acne. If you have recently fallen pregnant and unsure about how to adapt your skincare routine, don’t hesitate to get in contact with FTT and book your complimentary skin consultation. Stay tuned on our socials over the next month to find out more on our next era!
