Desoface/Desobody is the next generation of fat dissolver, it is a potent, purified form of the the fat dissolving chemical. It works by inducing adipocytolysis by disruption of the cell membrane.
Aqualyx® or DesoFace®/DesoBody® works by breaking down cell membranes to liquefy the fat cell, destroying it permanently, releasing the lipids that are then eliminated naturally through the lymphatic system. The human body naturally stores subcutaneous fat to supply energy in times of need. In almost all cases, this distribution cannot be remedied by a special diet or increased physical exercise.
We will carry out a full medical consultation with you including Blood Pressure as well as height and weight to calculate your BMI together with motivational screening . We will discuss with you (if appropriate) weight loss injectable treatments such as Saxenda® or Ozempic® with you as well as dietary programmes such as Diamagra® and perhaps referral to our Bariatric service partners. As there are no incisions, stitches are not required and scarring is very unlikely. There are some temporary side effects, which include bruising, swelling, redness and irritation in the injection area. Sometimes it may feel a slightly tender to touch, numb or itchy but these side effects usually reside after 1-3 days but have been known to last up to one month.
A reduction in fat deposits can be seen after just one treatment, however we recommend 3 sessions to achieve desired results. We will discuss a treatment plan with you at consultation.
A reduction in fat in the targeted area can be noted a number of weeks post-treatment. The speed at which noticeable results are seen will vary depending on the stability of the cell membranes; younger clients are more likely to see results after a longer period. In very small fat pads, the desired results can already be seen after one treatment.
