Tesla’s Referral Program is designed to reward Tesla owners and new customers who participate in promoting the brand through referrals. Elon Musk has famously relied on driving word-of-mouth instead of paid advertising to promote its electric vehicles.
Tesla’s goal is to build the best clean energy products and help Tesla owners share their excitement and experiences with others. Orders for a Tesla car will need to be placed using the Tesla Referral Code UK for both to earn referral awards.
NB: Note that referrals can’t be added after an order is placed or at time of delivery and is a code that is entered at time of purchase.

Terms and Conditions
By participating in Tesla’s Refer and Earn program, you are agreeing to these Terms and Conditions and understand that they are subject to change. Tesla customers must be at least 18 years old to be eligible for benefits, which are non-transferable and not redeemable for cash. Tesla customers can receive loyalty benefits up to 10 times over the life of each Tesla account. Tesla customers can also refer up to 10 order referrals per calendar year and the order must be placed using the customer’s referral link. Referral links cannot be credited after the order is placed and cannot be used by the same Tesla Account more than once.
All benefit redemptions are final – no returns or exchanges are accepted except where Tesla is legally required to accept a return of the relevant item. The customer is responsible for all taxes and local requirements and fees. Merchandise and accessories benefits are only available in regions where Tesla Shop has launched as they must be ordered via the Tesla Shop. Only primary account holders can redeem benefits. Nothing in the Refer and Earn program shall be deemed to create any kind of relationship between the referrer and Tesla or any of Tesla’s Affiliates. The referrer has no authority to represent or bind Tesla. This program and its benefits are conditional on and subject to the local laws and regulations of the registration address of the referrer and buyer, respectively.
Benefits may be redeemed on the following Tesla products:
- Supercharging
- Upgrades
- Service appointments
- Tesla Shop purchases
If a customer wishes to redeem referral credits to pay for an outstanding balance from Supercharging, a service appointment in the Tesla app or a Tesla Shop or upgrade purchase, customers must pay the entire cost of the purchase with Tesla Credits.
Customers cannot use Tesla Credits to purchase subscriptions such as Premium Connectivity. The Tesla Credits cannot be reissued, transferred or redeemed for cash and are not valid toward the purchase of Tesla gift cards or alcohol.
We introduce programs such as these in good faith and expect the same good faith in return. The intent of this program is to reward loyal Tesla customers for sharing their passion for Tesla products with their friends and family. To be clear, paid advertising, selling or paying or offering incentives for use of referral links is not appropriate, and we will not honor referral links associated with behavior that violates these Terms and Conditions. Customers who have violated any Tesla policy are disqualified from this program. Tesla’s Refer and Earn program will not remain open indefinitely. If benefits are not used during the timeframe of the program, we reserve the right to cancel the benefits once the program ends. We cannot cover every nefarious scenario, nor will we attempt to, but we do promise to be fair and reasonable. If you disagree with us, it will be your responsibility to show us that you have not violated any Tesla policies or these Terms and Conditions.
