Sunekos Injectable Skin Regeneration – Hamilton & Inverness
Rebuild Your Skin’s Natural Collagen and Elastin
Sunekos is a next-generation injectable treatment that combines low-molecular-weight hyaluronic acid (HA) with a patented cluster of six amino acids the HY6AA formula to stimulate the skin’s own regenerative processes from within. Unlike conventional dermal fillers, which physically add volume to reshape or restore facial structure, Sunekos works at a biological level: triggering fibroblast cells in the dermis to produce new collagen (types I, III, IV and VII) and elastin simultaneously, restoring the extracellular matrix (ECM) that gives young skin its firmness, elasticity and resilience.
At FTT Skin Clinics in Hamilton, Glasgow and Inverness, Sunekos is used by our Advanced Medical Practitioners for patients who want a genuine improvement in skin quality, addressing laxity, fine lines, dullness and crepey texture, rather than structural volume correction. It is particularly effective around the delicate periorbital area (under-eyes and crow’s feet), across the full face, neck, decollete and hands, and can be combined with structural dermal fillers, Profhilo, or anti-wrinkle treatments for a comprehensive rejuvenation plan tailored to your individual skin.
Sunekos is manufactured by Professional Dietetics S.p.A., an Italian pharmaceutical company specialising in amino acid science. It is a CE-marked medical device supported by published clinical trials demonstrating measurable improvements in skin hydration, elasticity, wrinkle depth and overall skin quality. Sunekos Performa won Best Innovation Injectable Product at the Medical Beauty Awards 2023.
How Does Sunekos Work?
| The HY6AA Formula – The Science in Plain English
Sunekos contains a precise, patented combination of six amino acids alongside low-molecular-weight hyaluronic acid: • Glycine, L-Proline, L-Lysine – the structural building blocks of collagen • L-Alanine, L-Valine, L-Leucine – essential amino acids that support fibroblast activity • Low-molecular-weight Hyaluronic Acid – provides immediate deep hydration and acts as a carrier When injected into the dermis, this combination stimulates fibroblasts to synthesise new collagen and elastin in physiological proportions – the same ratio found in healthy young skin. The result is genuine dermal regeneration, not just surface hydration. Sunekos also inhibits hyaluronidase – the enzyme that breaks down hyaluronic acid – meaning the product persists longer at the injection site and its stimulatory effects are prolonged. |

Frequently asked questions
How does filler lift the brow?
When placed precisely on and around the brow bone and lateral brow, HA filler creates physical support for the soft tissue above the eye. This adds projection and structure, gently pushing the brow upward and outward to a more youthful position. The effect is subtle and natural — not a dramatic surgical-looking result.
Is a brow lift with filler or anti-wrinkle treatment better?
Often both are used together for the best result. Anti-wrinkle treatment (such as Botox) can relax the depressor muscles that pull the brow down, while filler adds structural support and volume. The combination approach tends to give a more significant, longer-lasting lift than either treatment alone. Your practitioner will advise at consultation.
Will my face look ‘done’ or unnatural?
Our goal is always to achieve a result that looks like you on a really good day — natural, refreshed, and balanced. We never aim for an overdone or obviously treated appearance. The conservative volumes of filler used in brow lifting mean the change, while noticeable, should look entirely natural.
Is a non-surgical brow lift suitable for men?
Yes. Male patients often seek brow lift treatment to address a heavy, tired brow position. The technique is adapted to suit male facial anatomy — a flatter, more horizontally positioned brow is generally more appropriate for men than the arched brow shape more often desired by female patients.
How does the result compare to a surgical brow lift?
A surgical brow lift produces a more dramatic and permanent result and is the right choice for patients with severe brow descent. A non-surgical filler brow lift is ideal for mild to moderate descent where a subtle, natural improvement is the goal. The advantages of the non-surgical approach are no downtime, no scarring, no general anaesthetic risk, and fully reversible results.
